SRADev study reveals high concentration of POPs in Lagos lagoon
On behalf of the Nigeria-Africa Stockpiles Programme Implementation Network (NASPIN), IPEN Participating Organization Sustainable Research and Action for Environmental Development (SRADev Nigeria) developed baseline data and a scenario through a literature review for the study of POPs in Lagos lagoon. At a one-day project dissemination workshop held by NASPIN, National Coordinator of the network and Executive Director of SRADev, Mr. Leslie Adogame, disclosed that the past and current use and disposal of toxic chemicals and hazardous substances have created an extremely harmful climate for humans and the environment.
