New Report: Contaminated Sites and Their Management
A new report, Contaminated Sites and Their Management, by IPEN Participating Organization Arnika, has just been released. This report is one of the major results of their joint project with EcoMuseum and CINEST, Kazakhstani NGOs based in Karaganda.
This report was released on Arnika's English-language website together with two others (Toxic Hot Spots in Kazakhstan and a Russian-language compilation of both Toxic Hot Spots and Contaminated Sites).
More information about the 2 1/2-year project, plus another project on Aarhus Convention implementation in Kazakhstan, can be found at: http://english.arnika.org/kazakhstan
The reports contain interesting new data about sites contaminated by mercury as well as guidance on how to manage such sites.
