Toxics Link Release New Report on Bisphenol- A in Baby Feeding Bottles in India

BPA (Bisphenol A) is an organic molecule that was first synthesized in 1895. It is a synthetic estrogen, and has two forms: one is polycarbonate and is sometimes used in plastic baby bottles, and the other is epoxy resins, used in the linings of some food and beverage containers, dental sealants and numerous other consumer products.

Research studies have proved that Bisphenol-A is a developmental, neural, and reproductive toxicant that mimics estrogen and can interfere with healthy growth and body function. Toxics Link’s study was an attempt to measure BPA content in baby feeding bottles that are sold in the Indian market.
