May, 2016: Lead in Solvent-Based Paints for Home Use in Taiwan. This report presents new data on the lead content of solvent-based paints for home use available on the market in Taiwan. This is the first time that the Taiwan Watch Institute (TWI) has analyzed paints sold in Taiwan for their lead content. This study found that most of the solvent-based paints analyzed contained lead concentrations above 600 parts per million (ppm), the threshold limit for lead in paint adopted by Singapore and Sri Lanka. These paints would not be allowed to be sold in most industrialized countries.
