Overview of the POPs pesticide situation in Malaysia.

The activity conducted research and gathered information on the status of POPs pesticides in Malaysia. The information obtained included: background information on POPs pesticides previously used and possibly still in use in agriculture; summary information of known levels of POPs pesticides and incidences of pollution; measures undertaken or to be undertaken by government to address POPs; the Malaysian government's Stockholm Convention ratification process and its national implementation plan; and other measures taken to curb harm caused by POPs pesticides.
