IPEN is a global network of public interest NGOs working together for a world in which toxic chemicals are no longer produced or used in ways that harm human health and the environment.
We are comprised of over 600 Participating Organizations in more than 120 countries, primarily in countries with developing and transitional economies. IPENers take action internationally, working on local, regional and global campaigns and policies to:
IPEN is coordinated via Hubs in eight regions: Anglophone Africa; Francophone Africa; Central, Western & (sections of) Eastern Europe (CEWE); a portion of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus & Central Asia (EECCA); Latin America; Middle East & North Africa (MENA); South Asia; and Southeast Asia. The Regional Hubs, operating in most UN languages, coordinate and communicate with IPEN Participating Organizations in their geographic regions, and report to the Network on the regions' needs, activities, and perspectives.
