IPEP South Asia Regional Hub committee meeting and skill-share for NGO awareness-raising.
A one-day Skill-Share Workshop on POPs for NGOs was organized by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) in collaboration with Toxics Link in Islamabad, Pakistan. The goal of the workshop, primarily targeted at civil society organizations from Pakistan and other South Asian countries, was to increase interest and networking on the POPs issue, enhance the capacity of civil society organizations to deal with POPs-related issues and allow them to play a more constructive role in the implementation of the Stockholm Convention. More than 20 organizations from Pakistan and other parts of South Asia benefited from the workshop. The First Regional Hub Committee meeting also took place at the same meeting and awareness activities have continued since.
