Global day of action on POPs in Tanzania.

The objectives of the Global Day of Action were to raise awareness and advocacy for the POPs Convention; to provide information about the International POPs Elimination Project (IPEP) and results of the egg sampling; to bring the attention of media and public to the IPEN Keep the Promise Campaign and the need for action; and to highlight the key issues to be addressed at the First Conference of the Parties of the Stockholm Convention (COP1). The main activities were preparation and dissemination of different awareness materials and holding a press conference.
