Country situation report on POPS in Estonia.
The country situation report for Estonia includes basic country information on sources of POPs, levels in the environment, monitoring studies in fish, and legislation regulating POPs. The activity also included a significant public awareness-raising campaign on POPs which highlighted the importance of decisions taken about POPs wastes within policy strategies at both the national and international levels. The Estonian Green Movement - FoE coordinated with Arnika in the Czech Republic to translate materials provided by an expert team and disseminate them. This campaign was especially important, as Estonia has not ratified the Stockholm Convention.
