Global Partners
The Global Common Statement for a Toxics-Free Future was initiated by IPEN, with input from public interest groups from all global regions, and in April 2012 was formally adopted by 10 International Networks and NGOs (see below). Together these Endorsing Partners agreed to present this Statement for consideration and adoption to NGOs and CSOs in all regions of the world as part of a global campaign to secure more than 1,000 NGO endorsements in at least 80 countries. On the 11th of June 2012, NGOs gathered at the Toxics-Free Future Forum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The NGO/CSO Global Common Statement for a Toxics-Free Future was released at the forum by the organizations that came together with this important message to the world’s leaders.
Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA)
The Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA) is a worldwide alliance of more than 650 grassroots groups, nongovernmental organizations, and individuals in over 90 countries whose ultimate vision is a just, toxic-free world without incineration. IPEN
IPEN is a global network of more than 700 public interest non-governmental organization participating in 116 countries. IPEN works on an expedited yet socially equitable basic, to eliminate the worst toxics substances that threat human health and the environment.
